The Lodge (2019) was extremely dark. Tense and moody psychological thriller. Not my favorite film.

This film was sad -- what happens when you push an emotionally fragile person too hard, past their breaking point. Not really a horror movie though - just a depressing case of abusing a person who has already been traumatized, and watching as they crack under pressure.
Saw Child's Play (1988) for the first time. My favorite decade for horror, which is prob why I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would (grr Chucky's stupid face... 🤣) but this movie was... very silly, to say the least. 😅 Also sad, that poor kid was treated terribly by all the adults. Altho what a tough little kid! Phantasm vibes.
Terra and I watched The Conjuring (2013). It was definitely scary, even though Terra and I are #verybrave. 😂 However, this is my least favorite kind of horror, aka jump scare. Definitely could not enjoy a second time, and therefore, do not recommend.
