Dellamorte Dellamore (1994)

Dellamorte Dellamore (lit. "of the death of love," English title Cemetery Man) was amazing!! Creative plot, very funny dark humor, smart dialogue, great practical effects, and plenty of sex appeal (starring hotties Rupert Everett and Anna Falchi) -- the whole package.

Also, I was struck while watching this film by the similarities to my boy Dario Argento... come to find out, Michele Soavi was his protégé! Definitely worth a watch.

Córki Dancingu / The Lure (2015)

Terra and I watched The Lure (2015) tonight, which was great! Not what I would term horror though -- a musical drama with some horror elements. Beautiful, great soundtrack, and very sad. 😭 Too much stomping on my heart, not enough vicious man-eating! 😝

The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970)

Enjoyed The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970), Dario Argento's directorial debut, which I had never seen before. Gorgeous gallery scenes with fascinating sculptures, wish I knew who'd made them.

Jennifer's Body (2009)

Terra and I watched Jennifer's Body (2009), which was great!! I admit I did not have super high expectations for this film (never was a huge Megan Fox fan), but we both really enjoyed it. Great thrills and chills, funny dialogue, compelling female friendship angle, realistic-ish high school feel, and CGI that didn't suck. Plus, my boy Chris Pratt, just before his Parks and Rec fame. Definite The Craft (1996) vibes, which is a win in my book.

If you like this, then watch: The Craft (1996)

The Babysitter (2017)

The Babysitter (2017) was enjoyable fluff nonsense, but I'm not sure this can really be called "horror." It was more Scary Movie than scary movie. If you like tall leggy blondes and satanic murder cults with ludicrous dialogue and over-the-top sfx, this one's for you!

Witch's Sabbath (2005)

Witch's Sabbath (2005)... sort of an Evil Dead x soft-core porn. It's garbage, but I liked it, frankly.

Kiss of the Damned (2013)

Sibling rivalry is the theme of this sensuous fluff. Djuna and Paolo are happy in their quiet, restrained vampire love affair... until Djuna's psycho sister, Mimi, shows up. Pretty and fun film with some very easy-on-the-eyes actors.
